With 2012 looming, I thought now would be a perfect time to talk about preppers, or neo-survivalists. These folks go to extreme measures to be able to survive on their own, believing apocalyptic, end of the world scenarios are upon us. Although they go well beyond what most of us would do, there’s lots of self-sustaining knowledge to be learned. For most of us, it is not unlikely that we will be without power for a day, or a week due to severe flooding, snow or other storms. Is your household prepared?
